about

The 2022-23 Compilation:
All The Secrets Of Being Boring

Secrets of being boring,
It's a mystery so obscure,
As if the truth of life's no more
Than a dull and dreary chore.

One secret of being boring,
Is to never have a care,
To go through life with no emotion
And barely even be aware.

Another secret of being boring,
Is to hide your creative spark,
To call your feelings a day
And never share your heart.

The third secret of being boring,
Is to never take a risk,
To stay in your comfort zone
And never explore the abyss.

The next secret of being boring,
Is to shut yourself away,
To never try and strive
And never find another way.

The last secret of being boring,
Is that there is no secret at all,
It's a path that's been chosen
To keep your spirit small.

"A Compilation Album by melophobia"

The construction of these sounds was formed after the completion of the compilation album "Words, Words, Words" released on January 2022, the next two years after the end of the parenthesis era. Complete Years 2022-2023.

All tracks included in this second compilation are original longform and/or edited compositions, video clip edits, digital singles, mystery ones - hidden tracks and compilation submissions. Relevant release info on "about" section at every track. All compositions crafted and previously released somehow and sometime between the first of 2022 and last month of 2023.

'Words, Words, Mere Words, (no matter from the heart)' from Troilus and Cressida (Τρωίλος και Χρυσηίδα), Act 5, Scene 3, by William Shakespeare (1602). One of Shakespeare's problematic plays, something between spicy comedy and tragic darkness or obscurity.

melophobia (μελωφοβία) is a personal project of the Greek sound creator Dimitris Tsironis. For more than two decades, melophobia explores an incredible eclectic sonic coverage from improv electronics, electroacoustics and musique concrete to field recordings, drone and noise. His abstract manipulations of sound are alternately ambient and aggressive. Through these years of experimental manipulations dozens of albums released in various formats as cassettes, lathe cuts, CDs, mini discs, floppy discs, digital files, hand-written files and more. Various names are used along with melophobia since early 2000s and deserted, possibly more not known. Dimitris lately explores the concept of micro-sounds and collaborates with musicians from the global experimental scene. He is also owner and curator of 1tracktape, an eclectic label of contemporary experimental releases and archival centurial recordings and Default Standard Records.
